3 Ingredient, 5 Minute Fudge

Yes, this fudge is really that easy to make. The only sugar in it comes from the chocolate you use so you can control the level and type of sugar you use based on the chocolate you select. I was almost going to call it 2 ingredient fudge and you’ll see why when you look at that short ingredients list!

This is a ridiculously simple recipe with very few steps but a totally satisfying and indulgent tasting result. It’s chocolatey and rich enough that you feel content after 1 slice, and that’s what I’m going for in treats so I don’t feel the need to eat the whole batch at once. Or so much of it that I feel ridiculously ill mere moments after the cookie haze has ended. Self control around sweets isn’t my strong point.

You can totally control the flavour of this by changing up the kind of chocolate you use. I prefer dark chocolate so would use a minimum of 70% dark chocolate, you could go up to 85% but any higher than that then your end result will be less creamy. I personally think it wouldn’t be as satisfying if you used milk chocolate but each to their own. You can use either smooth or crunchy peanut butter, smooth will give you a soother fudge than pictured here

The roasted nuts on top give extra delightful texture but if you don’t have any just leave them out.

Ingredients

150g dark chocolate, roughly chopped

1/3 cup smooth or crunchy peanut butter (I use dark roasted crunchy)

3 Tbs roughly chopped roasted peanuts

Directions

Line a loaf tin with parchment paper.

Melt chocolate in a double boiled: Place chocolate in a heatproof bowl that snugly fits on top of a small pot. Fill the pot with an inch or 2 of water (it should not be enough to touch the bowl) and fit the bowl of chocolate on top. Bring water to a simmer while stirring the chocolate. Once melted remove the bowl from the pot.

Stir the peanut butter into the chocolate (add a pinch of salt if your peanut butter does not contain any). Once well combined pour into your lined loaf tin and sprinkle with roasted peanuts.

Refrigerate until set then cut into bite sized squares. Store in an air tight container in the fridge.
