I have a very similar soup to this using parsnip on the blog but I’ve actually made it many more times using pumpkin so thought I should really share this recipe too! The roasting garlic and pumpkin fill your house with the most delicious winters smells.
Meal Plans Week 125
What a week! I’ve started house hunting, my boyfriend is back in Melbourne after 7 months of long distance, and I’m back at all my different jobs – phew!
Roast Herb Salted Pork Rack with Roasted Cauliflower, Fennel and Olives
There are some very classic flavours in this roast rack of pork and they come together to make the most amazing roast dinner. After travelling to London twice in the last 6 months I feel like my appreciation for a good pork roast has gone through the ceiling. This is my dream roast and it doesn’t even include potatoes. Just a really beautiful rack of St Bernard’s Free Range Pork, caramelised cauliflower and fennel and a sort of parmesan gravy to tie it all together.
Broccoli, Chilli, Cheddar Grilled Cheese
This is my new go to grilled cheese. It’s filled with crispy chilli laced broccoli, aged cheddar and lemony celery for crunch and it’s such a delight. I’m a big fan of cooking grilled cheese in a pan but you could make this into a Jaffle too.
Meal Plans Week 124
Hello! This week’s meal plans are totally reflective of how I’ve been eating since I got back, loads of colour and vegetables.
Whole Roasted Romesco Makhani
This is basically a makhani or butter chicken sauce with a whole roasted Romesco cauliflower on top. You can also use a regular cauliflower, either way it’s delicious! The sauce is spicy and creamy (without the normal amount of butter and cream. You could use it for a variety of dishes and it’s really easy to make.
Meal Plans Week 123
I’m back! Back from holiday and back at it in the kitchen. I have loads of new ideas ready to spring on you and I can’t wait.
7 Ways With: Salmon
Salmon is one of the most common types of fish that Australians eat at home and I can totally understand why. It’s an amazing source of brain friendly Omega 3 fats, protein and a variety of vitamins and minerals. Wild Salmon tends to be a better source of all of these than farmed, as well as being better for the environment.
Smashed Potatoes with Parmesan Chilli and Baby Rocket
So the whole ingredients list is basically in the recipe title here! This simple side dish is so delicious, it takes time but very little effort. And they’re the perfect side dish for a roast or as a part of a big table of food to share.
Berry and Vanilla Coconut Skillet Crumble
This is a supercharged crumble mix with the addition of loads of fibre and healthy fats thanks to the oats, coconut and golden flaxmeal combination. It’s also perfect to make with frozen berries making it an any time of the year dessert.
