Meal Plans Week 77

I’m going to use this meal plans post to make a bit of a commitment today. A commitment to something I’ve been feeling a little uncomfortable about for a while. You know that feeling you get when your attitude towards something and your behaviour don’t match up? It’s called cognitive dissonance and we all experience it a lot. We can use this feeling in one of two ways: we can change the attitude (decide we don’t actually care about the thing we said we cared about) or change our behaviour. I’m going to change my behaviour, and that’s never that easy.

Meal Plans Week 76

It’s that time again. The time when I basically share my cravings with you and call them meal plans. There’ slots of colour and variety in store for you this week and you’ll easily make your gut healthy quota of 30 different  plant foods for the week, high five yourself. Or someone else, some one else works too.

Saffron, Leek and Scallop Risotto

I’ve been dreaming about this risotto for weeks, since the start of scallop season. Saffron, leeks and scallops are such a perfect combination especially when hit with a good dose of fresh lemon. I added the leek and celery to up the vegetable in take without compromising on flavour.

Meal Plans Week 73

Happy Sunday! I hope you’ve all had a glorious week. I’m writing this from Daylesofrd and it’s so picturesque, there’s a fire going and birds singing (when the rain gives them a break). I’m here this weekend cooking at the Essential Being Retreat, we had choc mint bliss balls and a chunky vegetable soup with extra virgin olive oil drizzled sourdough. So much yum.

Ponzu Prawn Black Rice Poke Bowls

Poke bowls might seem like a summery option but by adding warm cooked prawns you cut down on that summery vibe just a little. The black rice adds a seriously nutty vibe to these bowls that are topped with my favourite poke toppings.
