This week’s ‘7 Ways With’ post is dedicated to one of my favourite proteins: prawns. They’re readily available, super versatile and easy to cook. Check out the 7 ideas below and get cooking.
As a side note, it’s best to choose the most sustainable option when it comes to prawns so do some research and find out what the best option is in your area. My approach to eating sustainably is to eat a wide variety of different types of protein whether they be vegan, vegetarian, seafood or meat. This way I’m not consuming anything in excess and have a balanced diet when you look at it over the course of a month.
The below 7 ways to use prawns cover loads of different flavours and cuisines: Indonesian, Italian, Greek and more. What’s your favourite way to eat prawns?
Salt and Pepper Prawns, always a winner, have them in lettuce cups or as a starter.
Prawn Gado Gado Salad, how to make gado gado even more yummy.
Crispy Prawn Souvlaki with Dill Yoghurt Sauce, anything you can roll up and eat with your hands is a delicious time.
Chicken Prawn and Cabbage Dumplings in Chilli Broth, who doesn’t love dumplings?
Prawn and Green Papaya Rice Paper Rolls, I love making rice paper rolls as they’re a light fresher option for warmer days.
Prawn Pasta with Chilli and Blistered Cherry Tomatoes, this is date night pasta, or have a date with yourself pasta 😉
Ponzu Prawn and Black Rice Poke Bowl, all the pretty green things balance out this loose take on a poke bowl.
