This week I wanted to share my favourite party food ideas with you because it’s New Years Eve tomorrow and you should be celebrating! I’ve been super quiet on the blog for the last week and even on social media as I wanted to have some family time and just disconnect. And it’s been lovely.Â
I’ve been writing this blog for 4 years now and never really taken a break or hiatus so felt like it was time. I was also struggling to keep on top of things with family and friends visiting from overseas so thought rather than producing crappy rushed content I’d just wait until the New Year to provide you with loads of new recipes.
This year has flown by and been filled with new experiences and challenges and I’m so ready to bring in 2019. I was meant to be galavanting off to country NSW for a wedding for New Years but due to overwhelming commitments and too many holidays this year I’ve decided that a low key dinner party at home is more what’s needed. I’m going to make 2019 the year of learning to say no and not over commiting myself and this feels like the right way to start.
To celebrate the end of the year I’m sharing some of my favourite party food that tastes naughty but is full of a little nice. Here we go
Gem Lettuce, Dill Cashew Cheese and Parmesan – I make these all the time as they’re easy, vegetarian and fresh. Perfect finger food too.
Sticky Ginger Chicken Meatball Mini Bahn Mi – if there’s alcohol involved at a party you need the kind of food that will keep guests full and satusfied and these are just the ticket.
Spiced Crispy Kale Chips – bowls of these will disappear in mere minutes
Hummus with Tomato and Pomegranate salad, serve this fancy looking hummus with your favourite flat bread.
Salt and Pepper Prawns– these are so delicious, your guests will love them
Crispy Chicken and Pickled Radish lettuce cups – everything in a lettuce cup please.
Mini Maple Lemon Tarts – the perfect hand held sweet treat
Now go party your way into 2019, and I’ll see you on the other side.
