It’s summer over here so I’m back to berries and stone fruit. And I’m oh so happy about. This tastes like summer in a glass… or a bowl!
This is a super easy summer breakfast full of fibre and whole fruit. Or use frozen fruit and have it any time of the year! There’s healthy fats from the almonds and chia and protein in the oats and milk (depending on the variety you choose to use), making this a healthy start to the day too.
If you’re grain free just leave out the oats, I’ve made it both ways and it’s delicious either way just a little more filling with the oats.
Serves 2
Ingredients
1 frozen banana
1 nectarine, roughly chopped, stone removed
1/2 cup frozen raspberries
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
2 tsp almond butter
1/4 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
1/4 cup rolled oats
1 Tbs chia seeds
1 cup milk of choice
1/4 cup water (leave out if eating as a smoothie bowl)
Directions
Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. Add more water if too thick. Serve!
