This smoothie is full of ingredients that should make you glow from the inside out. Fibre rich flaxseed meal is paired with antioxidant rich blueberries and super hydrating coconut water. plus frozen banana to keep everything nice and creamy.
This recipe is sooooo easy. You can double it if you’re making them for 2 or eat your little mini stack yourself. Or make a double batch on Sunday and quicly reheat a serve in a pan on Monday morning, no more Monday blues that way. They’re gluten free, refined sugar free, dairy free and delicious.
A super simple make ahead breakfast that will put a smile on your face in the morning. I love peanut butter in both sweet and savoury dishes, and this slightly sweet dessert is given a nutty protein kick with a good dollop of roasted peanut butter.
This tastes just like strawberry milk… but is way more nutritious! A super quick smoothie for when you’re craving something sweet and pretty. The perfect summer afternoon pick me up or shared between two it makes for a pretty delicious breakfast dessert too.
This is a delicious breakfast and perfect as we approach summer as it’s both cold and involves summer stone fruit – yum! You can make everything the night before so in the morning you just layer it all together (also known as throwing the topping in your oat jar/container) and you’re ready to run out the door.
Nutritious, pretty and yummy breakfasts like this don’t need to be time consuming. I love a breakfast that I can prepare before going to bed and then have it ready to go in the morning when time is more important to me. I want to be the kind of person that can get up really early and exercise, make a delicious breakfast and get to work in time… but I’m not! I find getting up earlier than I have to really hard and my mornings always feel really busy. I tend to eat breakfast at work, so grab and go breakfasts like this are an excellent option.
This is a refreshing, easy and nutritious summer dessert. Or snack for that matter. It’s dairy, gluten and sugar free and maximises that fresh strawberry flavour. That flavour is enhanced by both the freshness of lime and the lingering vanilla flavour. You could leave the vanilla out but I think it’s what takes this to the next level, from frozen snack to dessert.
It’s a weird time of year in Melbourne. We’re oscillating between smoothie and cold drink weather and warm porridge weather. Sort of typical Melbourne really. This porridge straddles that fence nicely. Strawberries are abundant at the moment as the weather heats up around the country and they are so delicious teamed with the vanilla scented creaminess of this porridge.
Breakfasts should be fun, easy and make you excited. A breakfast that sounds like a dessert definitely ticks those boxes. This one also takes so little time, is full of delicious goodness, and can be prepared the night before.
It’s getting cold in Melbourne and the crisp mornings have me craving porridge, and I’m trying to mix up my combinations as much as possible. This is a dreamy dessert like porridge. It’s reminiscent of a lemon delicious pudding or a lemon tart with the combination of creamy vanilla scented oats, tart lemon curd (without cream or butter) and toasted almond crumb. But it makes a much more nutritious breakfast than either of those options, thanks to the oats and added nuts!
